                      As winter is around, our health would be the one thing that starts to deteriorate. Reason is simple it happens due to low humidity levels and reduced activity levels of our body. Winter is also known as a cozy season as we all love to wrap ourselves in the blanket and want to sleep as much as possible. Hence, we all need to pamper ourselves with good moisturizers and nutritious food. Adopting healthy habits is the key to make ourselves overall fit.

  • Physical activity as a routine:

If we consider physical activity as important as brushing teeth then it will be really hard to fall sick. Yes, it works like wonder bond as it will boost our immunity and overall stamina to fight against seasonal illness. It will help in absorbing nutrition from food and will remove the body’s toxic by perspiring us, which will ultimately help to release feel good hormones such as endorphins and enkephalins which actually improves our mood. If you think it’s not possible for you to workout in winter then let me tell you one more fact that it will speed up the fat burning process in the winter. Winter is the best season to include seasonal vegetables juices like beet, spinach, bottle gourd, ash gourd, and other leafy vegetables. You can mix the different vegetables to make a juice.  We can make green tea at home by adding tulsi, green tea, mint leaves, cinnamon and little honey to boost our immunity and can be saved from cold and flu. Including this tea will help in preventing diseases as per some evidence and researches.

Special attention should be given to diet during the winter season; it should be nutrient- rich fulfilling most of the macros and micros in our body which will provide energy and warmness to the body. Include more P-F-F i.e protein, fibers and healthy fats.

 Protein will help in improving lean muscles, building bones and tissues. Protein will subside unhealthy cravings and charge us with flowing energy.

Fiber will be great for improving digestion health in winter.

Healthy fats like Almonds, seeds, dairy products will keep in check our moisture level. Including Omega-3 sources like walnuts, flax seeds, salmon and fatty fishes which works as lubricant to our joints and give relief to its pain if it occurs in winter.
